Lyn’s day Sunday 2nd September 2012

This will be our fourth year of fundraising in memory of Lyn Ferguson whom we lost in 2009.

As with previous years, all monies raised will benefit Manorlands.

Again, we will be intent on prizing as many £1 coins – no – £2 coins out of you (inflation and all that) as is legally possible.

We will be charging £5.00 per adult and £2.50 per junior for the privilege of participating in our expertly organised American Tournament, as always marshalled and monitored by the lovely June (thank you June).

Buckets, jars, boxes and all means of receptacles will be thrust under noses for all that loose change for which you have no other use.

Our executioners of culinary expertise will provide in their ever-ebullient aura – the delights that will emanate from the dark coals of the Olympic flame…..sorry, that will be the bbq.

The balloon raffle is sure to upset the normal peace and tranquillity of any civilised tennis combat – perhaps not applicable at Cross Hills club then…

Registration will commence at 10.30am and play will start at 11.00am prompt. It would be very much appreciated if you could let me know before the day if you are going to be attending both socially and as a tournament participant.

Lyn’s Day has proved to be a great social fund raising event at our club and more than anything else, is made successful by the people who join us on the day – please be one of those people.

If you are unable to attend we would of course be very grateful for any raffle donations or indeed monetary donations towards Manorlands.

I look forward to hearing from you soon and we hope to see you on the day.
