Well, what a great way to kick-start our junior coaching programme. The weather could have been kinder I.e. less damp but that didn’t prevent over 70 people (mums, dads and children) attending the event. It was very encouraging to see so many children and parents enjoying playing tennis at our club. Kinetic Tennis worked hard to promote the day amongst the local schools and on the day Jamie and the other coaches and helpers did an excellent job; they were all very enthusiastic and well organised and interacted well with adults and children.

Well done to Pam Emsley and Chris Glen for all their work on the day in doing the necessary admin and making sure that we got everyone’s details. A vital job to enable us to keep in touch with the people who attended the event. Thanks also to Diane for making sure we had a constant supply of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Finally, a huge thank-you to Mike Emsley and Andy Glen for all their efforts. Their hard work before and during the day helped make the event such a brilliant success!

This is just the beginning. There is still a lot of work to be done to build on this excellent start. Remember, starting from now, Sunday mornings is for junior coaching!
